The MK8 Classic is the instrument the Rhodes name was built on — the tine sound that sat under half the records made in the seventies — rebuilt by Rhodes Music Group in England to tolerances the originals never had.

What you get is the same electromechanical action: a hammer strikes a tine, a pickup reads it, and nothing in that chain is a sample. What has changed is everything around it. The keybed is a Kluge Klaviaturen spruce action, the same maker that supplies concert grands. MIDI is built in rather than retrofitted, so it drives a rig without a separate controller.
The silver control panel carries the preamp, a three-band EQ, and the vari-pan section. It is a working instrument rather than a museum piece — but it looks and behaves like the thing you remember.
